Yesterday (October 4), marked a bittersweet end to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s OTR II Stadium Tour. The tour ended on a high note when Parkwood Entertainment’s Director of VIP and Social Responsibility, Ivy McGregor, accompanied by the amazing OTR II opening act and sister-duo Chloe x Halle, announced the final OTR II Scholar at the tour’s finale in Seattle! They excitedly shared that Khairi Perry (17), a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School will receive a $100K scholarship towards his college education. In partnership with Boys & Girls Club, BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundation have chosen a scholarship recipient in 11 of the OTR II US tour markets. Khairi has been a member of the Federal Way Boys & Girls Club for seven years, and credits it as a place that brings him peace and does a lot for the wellbeing of him and his family. During his time at the Club, he has volunteered at the Tacoma Christian Center during Christmas to help give gifts to families in need, participated in We Scare Hunger to gather food donations on Halloween, helped with the Seattle Marathon, and much more. Khairi maintains a 3.5 GPA and is a member of the national Honors Society and Key Club. In his free time, he also tutors his peers, helping them work through their class materials. Khiari would like to attend the University of Oregon to study Information Technology or Chemical Engineering. Congrats, Khairi!
